Rean wanted to flinch away from Crow's hand in his hair, to at least show how he wasn't compliant to all of this. He knew he didn't quite get Crow to see things his way; Crow was stubborn like him. But he, admittedly, liked that simple gesture. It was familiar and reminded him of their earlier time in the Front, when Crow's whole life was for building up the Front into something that could take the Erebonian on equal ground.
